Sims 2 Fashion Police

Eversince I got hold of a copy of Sims 2 in my notebook, I have been addicted! Addicted to not the game itself, but the ability to create my own fashion statement! I have posted the 1st Sim lady I created! Really love it! Finally I can work on my fashion creativity!

The Sims 2 come with a customised tool called the "Body Shop" which allows us to mix and match our Sim. Moreover, the graphics are superb. The amazing thing is that we can tweak and adjust the facial features to our liking! Furthermore, when you get more familiar with the tool, I bet you can even create a Sim which will resemble yourself! =D Other interesting features include cosmestic makeup which is quite experimental as we get to play around with different colors. The only bad thing about the Body Shop tool is the sluggishness. It takes some time to load and render. So upgrade your system before installing the Sims 2!

Haha till then! Will be posting new creations as days come. q[^_^]p

Not a bad Monday overall!

I'm feeling like a coconut head today! I think I looked fatter with the hair!! But I'm so glad no one commented on my hair! Ser Nye said the haircut was refreshing. Gee..not sure if it is. Well, I shan't mention my hair anymore as it makes me feel sad. haha.

Well, work again. thanks to Jiayi's help last night, I managed to solve my config file problem! That is why I can move on with other screens today! Even so, I still got stucked with the combobox control for the whole day. Was kinda irritated and tired. It got me thinking if I can make it in time for the rollout date as my progress is really way too slow! Help!! I think I'll need to buck up from now on. I think I am thinking way too much in trying to make my application perfect. Gotta change my mindset now and take things step by step.

Went to Waraku Japanese Restaurant for dinner with Daniel just now! It is his Birthday today! Had a great dinner! We have japanese curry udon and spicy paper steamboat. Yum! Yum! And the best thing is he loves the food! I'm so glad!! I'm not sure if I should buy a present for him. Well I think shall see if there is anything suitable.

Hee. Okie dokie! Will update again! Cya... q[^_~]p

Another week has passed......

Hey I'm back again from a busy week.

At work, things been moving on quite alright. Presentations' great, though lotsa negative feedback from one of the them. Though I'm not really sure if he is a user, but he seems to hold a pretty high position and he sounded more like an empty vessel. His comments gave us quite a burst of entertainment although I can see my proj manager trying to make him believe that we appreciated his comments. Well, at least we did appreciate it. On the other hand, I'm new to the technology which my module required, thus been having a tough time working on it. I even brought my work home, thinking of completing more screens but I knew it...till now other than copying the files to my notebook, I have not touched the codes. Real bad...Derek's gonna strangle me for my inefficiency when he returns...=(

My hair. Yesterday I told my hairdresser to restyle my hair and I did like the result. But this morning, I made the silliest decision to do something disastrous to my hair. Now I look totally like a silly coconut. Horrendous!! Hope it grows out soon. Meanwhile I just have to bear with looking like a coconut for time being. I just hope no one will comment on it tomorrow at work. :S

Sims 2. Darren passed me Sims 2 installation yesterday. The game rocks! Though I get bored soon after, I'm quite excited over the creation of a Sim! There is a lot of new features, including how you wanted your Sim to look, e.g. shape of eyes, nose, mouth, face. Whether you want to have the chin protuding or the nose shaper etc. You can even create a Sim princess! Furthermore, there is a variety of clothes to choose over. The new wardrode is pretty cool. I'm sure soon there will be skins to download over the internet. Moreover, the game is now in 3D. The furnitures are better. Spacing and placements of objects are not as awkward as before. For Sims fans, it's definitely a must to get it! Just for your information, the game will need at least 2GB of physical space to install.

It's Daniel's birthday tomorrow! The 27th Sept. He's gonna be 23! I wish him success in everything and a smooth journey as he moves on in life! :P

Lastly, I hope everyone around me will remain cheerful always!

Be back again..till then bloggie.. q[^_^]p

the day before my presentation...

So tired from work...almost went mad because of the window form listview control. Furthermore am nervous because of presentations later and on Friday. I hope I'll get everything right.

Realised been spenting too much, especially now working in the city. Expenses went up...gotta remind myself to cut down.

Alright, I'm having brain block now. Can't think anymore at the moment. So i guessed i shall end it off here tonight....

Cheerios! Till then...... q[-_-]p .. be back again for more!!

Nerve-whecking!

It has been a real nerve whecking day at work. Chai Huat told me I will be presenting my screenshots and work flow on Thurs and Fri!! I was damn shocked and my mind is in turmoil. My...that was fast! Furthermore, Derek's doing this re-service therefore I'm all alone to fend for myself in front of the users! I thought I am only starting to warm my seat at MTI, reading through specs and understanding my module. Never thought I will "go live" so soon. Was horrified at the thought of rushing 100+ pages of screens with logic flow before Thurs, so I gotta take a break and write in here to calm myself down. All along, I really hated presentations because i was never eloquent and would freak out each time even if I tried to stay confident during speeches. My trembling voice always gave me away. I always vow to overcome this and am still trying my very best. I hope to give Thurs and Fri my best shot so wish me luck.... =S

Will keep my bloggie updated! Hope to bring good news....=)

Meanwhile, cws seems to be experiencing a wave of various setbacks. Jeff's resignation. Jing's tears. Ros's anger outburst. Jh's health....everyone has lost their drive. I wished I can do something.

Something positive. Was hooked to the Channel U 9pm drama. Really love the story. It's about a bright and intelligent girl ("cai nu" in chinese), Meng Lijun, who disguised as a man to travel to the capital to save her father during the Yuan Dynasty era. She is betrothed to this cute but blur & honest guy, Huangfu Shaohua, whom she travelled with. Many funny & interesting things happened during the journey! It's quite dumb that that guy doesn't know that the "man" with him is actually a girl!! how silly can he be! Or rather, are ancient chinese that dumb?? =P

I'm not sure what is the name of the actor who portrayed as the silly guy but the characters he played in most of his shows are silly but lovable! =P Anyway am looking forward to each coming episode! will be glued to the google box every night! Would love to see Lijun and the silly guy together soon! haha...

I dreamt of Asha, Shantha and Shalini last night! It has been almost 5 years since they migrated to Melbourne! Really missed them, especially Asha!! Last night's dream was a blessing that I get to see her again! =D

Alrighty, am going to concentrate on minesweeping with daniel. Lost 2 match to him last night. can't believe it! haha!

Till then my bloggie! q[-_0]p

After lunch musing

Ros told me that Christopher had found out about her plans to further study next year. He might also know about Luke's plans too. I wonder if he can take the blow as he seems to be very uptight lately. Moreover I don't think the other bosses would even care! Afterall they are known for being the "Talk, no action" type. To me, the management in cws is a one-man show. Everything seems to be handled by Christopher, be it administration, planning etc. The others are more like flower vases to me, taking things for granted. Bosses like them will most likely bring the company down. I hope the company will pay more attention to their staff welfare and not take them for granted because they have employees with good skills & talents and most importantly, a good attitude towards work.

Zzzzz

What a sleepy Monday!! Difficult to do my work while struggling to stay awake.........=(

Wonders

Have to admit that Friendster does wonders. 3 days ago, an old friend of mine sent me a message from her Friendster account. Haven't seen her for many many years, since 1991! I couldn't recall her name initially although she bears a very unique surname - "Boey". I couldn't even recognised her from the photos she posted in Friendster. Just like Roslyn had exclaimed, "Where has my memory disappear to??" Anyway I'm glad now that I finally remembered her, thanks to her class photo in my primary school 1998 year book! She was my primary 3 classmate. Though I haven't had much impression of her but it's definitely a good feeling to be reunited with old friends!

Was watching the Taiwanese variety show, "Zong Yi Da Ge Da" (loosely translated as "Variety Big Brother"), for the past 30 mins or so. Not sure if many know Harisu, the Korean trans-gender. She was on the show as guest star. Boy..she is pretty! you won't have a clue that she was a male before! Surgery does wonders. An example would be Extreme Makeover on channel 5. What if Extreme Makeover comes to Singapore? Haha, sounds exciting? Would you write in to request a makeover?

Irving told me Melvin had left Avanade. It's been a year and many things happened at Avanade. A few of them like Alex and Melvin left the company to try out new things. A really bold step to take!

Now that Daniel, Yip, Soonie, Binbin and few others are near to their ORD dates, their next major step would be the working world as fresh graduates. They seem very lost to me, most of them admitted that they have return what they have learnt in school back to the lecturers. And they are clueless of what they want next. I do hope they find their path and their goals soon!! I wanna wish them all the very best! Hope they will all be successful in life, especially Daniel!

I wonder what would I be doing in 5 years time...haha shan't go think about that. Now i'm just looking forward to my trip to Genting next month. I like the feeling of having something to look forward to each time. It makes life to fill with meaning.

Alright man...it's almost 1am and I'm being ticked off by Daniel for staying up late again. =( okay, i shall be good, logoff now and be early for work tomorrow again!

Till then my bloggie....q[^o^]p

After L.U.N.C.H talk.....

Lunch at city area is definitely expensive...somehow kinda miss the sanduo stall at 64+4 back at Loyang. Wow...it's been almost 2 weeks since I left the pearly white walls. Despite of the...(i would say) inexperienced governors, many unpleasant scenes and wasted resources, I have to thank the heavens for giving me the chance to experience life there. There is the place where I found common friends. Friends whom I look forward to meet. If not for white walls, I would be alone in a foreign land next year. It is also there I witnessed a man who falls prey to a game of vengeance.

The Sages condemn personal anger as a form of avodah zara (idolatry and other deviant worship), as it is said: "Whoever becomes angry falls prey to all sorts of hellish forces ... Even the Divine Presence becomes unimportant to him."

- Nedarim 22a-22b

Played the same game once for a period of time against Mr "Nemo's father" during the earlier days there. And I felt physically and mentally sick, eventually couldn't stand the pressure. I'm glad I got out of that shell. Even so, I am still trying to balance myself in the middle of being positive and being negative.....and I'm maintaining it for good!! Hopefully!! =) Yeah! And I definitely feel good about it!!

Life goes on...la la la la....Till then, bloggie!!! q[^_^]p

Great Thursday!

Good morning!!!! It's Thursday! A sweet and beautiful day! Considering I only slept at 2am this morning and wow! I'm here at work at 8:45am!It's a new goal I've made - To curb my tardiness and to be punctual for work!

Frankly speaking it's been a very difficult task for me. Somehow I just refused to wake up in the morning. I got to retort to setting multiple alarms in my mobile phone. haha...luckily for the snooze function in my mobile phone's alarm clock, there is still hope. But nothing beats the voice of my mum's!! These past 2 days, I gladly say that I'm early for work because my mum wakes me up!! =P

Right now there is only 7 people including me in the office....seems like the rest ain't here yet..they are all doing their work and here i am.....blogging. :S but it's alright! afterall it's still a bright and beautiful Thursday so i guessed i'm spared!
Alright man! i'm going back to work now. It's great to be back! Thanks to Roslyn who brought me back to my blogs! =P

"Work, work", said the Orc peon from Warcraft

Till then........ =)
