We held a BBQ party to celebreate jason's 23rd birthday on tues! we bought lotsa yummy food like mussels, squids & not to forget the must - chicken wings! Although it rained on that day and ruined our bbq activity, it was still quite fun with all of us and our 3 guests (ben, ks & ah li). We ended up cooking the food on the stove and the oven, with KS providing almond agar2!! yummy! let's trade recipes!!

ben and li were here to do the SOA proj and I'm glad we got most architectural stuff done. Working with them is the best thing that ever happen in my studying life. And I agree with ros that ben is the funniest guy ever and he really cracks us up and tickles our laughing bones. The way he imitates xiaotao, together with JY, was so real and it's really hilarious! believe me!

plus, there was a bit of a saga happening on the same day after the BBQ & it was the 2nd time. won't be talking about it here but hope the people involved will learn to separate work from any other distractions.

Spent the whole night & morning in school last night and got home only at ard 7am this morning. Gee..ain't I hardworking? Anyway I'm glad that I actually achieve something while I'm there. Managed to integrate most of the desktop system stuff for csse and got it to work! so relieved!! Also thanks Ros for accompanying me in the lab to burn midnight oil when she knew i prolly be going alone, or else poor jason gotta camp with me after puking almond agar2!!! So nice and glad to have a friend like u! muaks! muahahahhaa!

Alrighy...gotta go sleep & prepare for another day in the lab tomorrow. sweet dreams everyone!!

Went school today to do project. ros went with us too as she don't wanna work alone at home! so we all parked ourselves in the lab to do our work along with noob happily munching on the iceberg leaf!

Well..not really productive today though. partly, the pocket pc stuff doesn't seem to work on my laptop. I was pretty irritated with it and i wonder what is the cause. anyway didn't do much work today. whole day feeling so lost with the project. really wonder if we can get the whole system done by end of the week. by the way was really impressed with jason for coding the track table activity with the drawing tool and the .net timer control. he's fast!

On the other hand, i wonder if daniel's visa will get approved. sure hope it will. alrighty..time to sleep! cya blog..

We just adopted a ladybird as our house pet!! it's sooo cute!! its name is Noob and it lives in a transparent tuppleware with a big piece of iceberg lettuce! :)

Here i am again, staring at the word document, staring into space, into the walls. urgh..no matter how simple the essay can be, I still get sleepy at the sight of it. oh crap..help me get through this!!

Prolly some motivation I can give myself is going grocery shopping. Now even a simple grocery shopping at woollys makes me a happy girl. :)

I'm in the midst of start IS assignment 2. It doesn't seem as bad as the previous one but I do hope I can finish by this weekend which is tomorrow. :S I guess it's not really possible but I'll try. Yay..at least something to rejoice for is that I didn't do as badly as I thought for my assignment 1, thanks to Daniel for helping me with the searching for sources and journals! Hee!!

Next week will gonna be a real busy week for me as I having to rush hopefully 3 terror assignments if my essay is done by then. I hope it won't be a rocky road!!

My csse group had a project analysis presentation today. Seemed like everything went on fine! :) After which 3 of us went to lab to do codings. I'm really worried if we can finish up the coding by end of next week. The situation seems to be on the edge and I can't help but to panic. Supposed to meet ros at 4pm at the cat terminal but got held up with database schema problems, plus I lost my way on the way to the UQ cat terminal. So pathetic and I ended up taking the 5pm cat and was so shocked to see ros in there that my eyes almost popped out. Apparently she took a big round to pass time while waiting for me. haha! feel so bad! :P

Went shopping today with ros and ah li to relieve stress, but i'm not sure if i'm really stressed or just finding excuses to spend money to make myself feel happier. KS led us to this korean place called Gaya for dinner. Recently I've been craving for korean food even since KS brought us to this "MADTONGSAN" place. Gee! madtongsan..what a name...:S It's called "Mad Tong San" by day and "MADTONGSAN" by night! hmm alright, ok, there's no difference between the names when i typed it down here but it's different when i read it aloud for u. ah well.....Anyway Gaya's not bad still, only that the air there is bad and stuffy. A couple had korean bbq there and I find that the oily smell still lingers even after I bathe. urghh...:(

Each time I meet KS, I will find out new secrets of jasonie. ah well.. so much of crappie crap between them. but it's kinda funny though!

Sadly now, I gotta go back to face reality. So many things to do yet so little time. I gonna book air tickets for my dec sydney trip! :) Ciao..

Good morning! It's still so windy! Well, today is my laundry day..if it rains again, I've got nothing to say.

Haha anyway I woke up this morning to check if anything has collapsed or toppled over the night and yes! the recycle bin outside the house! (see photo).

The weather's getting strange ... the wind tonight is very strong. hopefully nothing will topple or collapse. Things are flying around these days as spring approaches..the wall of little flies i saw in school just now made my hair stand..and still standing as I thought about it now...urghhh...:S

anyway it was a long day at school again. this morning has project plan proving. beardy kept snatching every single opportunity to talk. geez, we have no chance to voice out at all coz he kept intercepting. how i wish my vocab is powerful enough to win him verbally. well..i think i'm prolly just bad at communication.

A good thing which happened today was being able to get the custom listview to work well! :) i'm so glad...

geez..as i'm typing, the wind is howling pretty loudly...my curtains are flapping and making lotsa noises..anyway i think i will just end here for the day..

so busy!! busy with csse3004 especially...my AM groupies don't seem anxious that the deadline's drawing near. in fact i think none of them have started their individual component. darn! i think i prolly will do their parts to prepare for final demonstation and let them die for the individual demonstrations.

Been skipping gym a lot..darn..couldn't help but want to stay in school to finish up the pocket pc app asap as my oracle and webservice on my laptop are not cooperating!! working in school is tiring though...anyway hopefully the new gym at toowong v is good. i'll prolly be visiting there often to make up for the gym sessions i missed.

Oh ya..I tried ros's PSP last night and it's quite fun! I played the Bleach 2 game....vs CPU. the skills and graphics very COOL! :P pretty! I can actually see the actual zanpakutou display! very nice! ooo talking about Bleach reminds me of this guy in my DM lecture. He looks exactly like Ichimaru Gin from Bleach. Amazing, isn't it, to look like Ichimaru? I wonder it's a good or bad thing...:P

Anyway, some interesting thing to share..according to jasonie, his name although is common but it's derived from the calendar which i thought is darn COOL!

Just finished cooking for tomorrow's lunch..anyhow whipped up a dark soy sauce chicken with onions and fish with broccoli & mushys. haha but seems like the quantity is too little. oh well..hopefully it's enough for 4 of us.

Exam tomorrow..crap..i studied and studied but i wonder if it got into my head. i really dislike this subject. major disliking! >:(

HEE HEE!!

Had a great lunch today though...3 of us had "pot-luck" lunch in school with the dishes we bought. jasonie's beehoon reminds me of the vegetarian beehoon my dad used to buy for me on sunday mornings! It tasted just fine although it's a little soggy and had that charred taste! yay! they love my mixed vege with fat pork! hehe I'm glad. my brother love that dish too! he always gobble up his food whenever my mum cooks that dish. Later in the night, I heated up some extras leftover from last night (i cooked too much) and shared it with shan and jy. haha seems like jy likes the dish too. he kept "drinking" the gravy. haha next time i shall cook a big pot for him to eat all he want!

Was on my way this morning to school and i bumped into groups of people taking part in a so-called "Amazing Race". I supposed it's organised by their school or whatever community. Geez..i thought it was quite cool to play the amazing race. wonder if i will have that chance! seems so fun to be solving puzzle and running about to find my way! ooooh btw..they were video taping the game..wahaha and i got to be on video too because they asked me for directions! :P

Oh gosh..those 2 guys are late for meeting..winners! geez...i think i shall study my comp3502 now. there's an exam on monday..and I HATE EXAMS! yucks!! :( Hopefully I'll get through the paper well...

Yet another day at school rushing csse proj with jasonie and ron. The proj seems never ending! :P Even though our group met up this morning at 9am, no conclusion is made and nothing is decided. The situation is awkward. We seem to have serious communication problem. Each time I voice opinions or ideas, my aussie groupmates will go, "Yeeeah yeeah", and nod their heads. This makes me wonder if they even got my message. Hence I decided to email my message instead as I supposed written is better than talking since they can't seem to catch my spoken message. But well, none of them check their mails. Anyway I have concluded that they can't catch my "accent" or "slang". There is this once I met one of them at the bus stop. I tried to be friendly by starting a conversation with him. Here goes -

Me: "Hi! morning!
Grpmate: "Heeey..."
Me: "I'm meeting jason & ron to do our individual stuff! What abt you? Going for lessons?"
Grpmate: *puzzled look* "huh?"
Me: "Hmm going for classes?"
Grpmate: "Ahh yeeeeahhh, classes..i'm going for classes..."

Well...haha!

The world is so small..too small. Seems like jasonie's housemate knows renjie, yaoyang and gang. and even better ... she seems to know me too..which is prolly from IRC donkey years ago.

Oh well, I'm supposed to go watch Willy Wonka with ros & her ks & maybe kel tomorrow..but am gonna end up working on csse in sch instead. told ya...the proj seem never ending. and also seeing my grpmates so keen and "kan cheong" to work on the proj, I decided to join them to help integrate and do other modules. Ain't I a nice grpmate? :P Anyway to motivate myself tomorrow, I have cooked my mum's speciality, mix vege with egg tofu (minus the egg tofu) to bring along to school for lunch. jasonie's bringing his "charred" bee hoon and ron's bringing chicken nuggets. well..so much novelty just for motivation. hopefully i can finish the ppc stuff tomorrow. don't wanna wait for jarad already because by the time he reappear from his MIA state, I should have already failed the course.

Had quite a good day today. My CSSE individual component's almost done! I'm feeling pretty light today so gathered my housemates out for dinner! We were supposed to dine at La Dolce Vita at Parks Rd but we ended up at Hanaichi. It's my second time at Hanaichi! The sushi's not bad! i like the peking duck and soft shell crab sushi. yum yum! and jason's a real "good" driver! the car ride was realy fun and exciting with all the slopes and bumps on the way.

oh! i have a great discovery today...so jasonie knows ros's fren, ks. they were in the navy diving unit in the nsf. it's really a small world.

seems like my parents couldn't make it to the NATAS tomorrow night as it's too rush. they are going on sat which fang cannot make it. hopefully it will turn out fine and they will manage to book air tickets with reasonable price. hope that daniel can settle his leave matters and quickly book his flight too!!

ooo i saw ks's psp..very pretty! ahh it's so tempting..erm ANYONE WANTS TO BUY FOR ME??? :P ros's getting one for 700+!! ahh my gosh!! SO NICE! nvm...my housemates and i will be plotting to get her psp from her when it gets ship here. meanwhile I will just be contented with the ps2 at darren's house!! it will be good enough!

darren's looking for job! gee...2 yrs have passed since he entered the army. time sure passes fast. cannot believe engineering's starting pay is only 1.3k. hopefully he can get a good job with a higher and reasonable pay so that he can further his studies soon.

Having a good time slacking after handing in that darn crappy essay. Called Mum & Dad just now to chit chat and to tell them abt fang's plan to visit brissy too! Called fang too to chit chat..haven't talk to her since i left singapore. what a friend i am...:S well she's still sounded the same haha..i'm glad! miss her and our trips to sakae sushi!! can't wait to do that again when i'm back in singapore.

Earlier I created the joke of the day when i misheard ros's "probes" as "pope". We had a darn great laugh over it, especially ros la..that mad woman. really "lo si leng". Just to share the joke,

We went to the Brisbane Riverfest last night to watch the fireworks display. It wasn't anything spectacular though...it's just like what i saw in tv. heard from ah li and the rest that the fireworks display in singapore is much better! and they even have fireworks in smiley face pattern! gee...hope i will get a chance to see it too!
